ABOUT AVIGILANCE

Vigilance that evolves.

Founded in the United Kingdom in 2026, Avigilance was created in response to a persistent gap in aviation safety: the industry has become very good at recording what has already happened, but still needs better tools to anticipate what is likely to happen next. Our mission is to amplify aviation safety expertise with AI-enabled foresight, helping organisations see risk earlier and act before safety margins erode.

THE NAME

The name Avigilance reflects the idea at the heart of the company: aviation demands constant vigilance, but vigilance itself must evolve. In an operating environment changing ever faster β€” shaped by advances in technology, artificial intelligence, climate change, shifting ecosystems and increasingly complex systems β€” safety organisations must remain continually alert not only to existing hazards, but also to new risks emerging from change itself.

Avigilance represents the fusion of aviation and vigilance, coupled with the belief that enduring safety requires both watchfulness and the ability to adapt intelligently and rapidly.

OUR FOCUS

Our initial focus is wildlife risk management, where our platform is being developed to turn fragmented wildlife, weather, operational and expert data into explainable, decision-support intelligence. But our ambition is broader: to apply rigorous science, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to some of aviation’s most difficult, stubborn and consequential safety problems.

GLOBAL OUTLOOK

Avigilance is a science-led aviation safety intelligence company with a global outlook. Although British-based, our work, partnerships and advisory network span multiple regions, supported by a highly experienced Advisory Board of leading experts representing four continents. The company was founded by aviation and technology professionals whose backgrounds bring together complementary strengths in engineering, safety science, human factors, AI-enabled systems, and commercial and military flight operations and maintenance.

HOW WE WORK

That combination shapes how we work.

  • Evidence before hype.
  • Explainability before black boxes.
  • Expert judgement at the centre of technology.

OUR VISION

To become a trusted global source of predictive safety intelligence β€” helping airports, airlines, regulators, insurers and other aviation stakeholders move from reactive risk management towards earlier, clearer and more confident action.
